Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Ridgeway. It’s a great pleasure, as the Principal of this wonderful school, to introduce you to all it has to offer.

We are committed to inspiring learners for their future through a vibrant, innovative and supportive environment where students develop resourcefulness, resilience, accept responsibility and are challenged to take risks in order to succeed. Maximising individual students’ development and achievement is what everyday is about. Achievement in examinations is high and we offer an extensive range of leadership and extra-curricular opportunity that is second to none. Students develop the skills and confidence to prepare them for life in the 21st century and it is our aim that students leave us with a passion for life-long learning.

Our students are wonderful ambassadors for the school and take pride in continuing to shape and develop further the excellent community to which they belong. This website contains latest events and copies of The Ridgeway News designed to keep students and parents up-to-date with school life and to give others a snapshot of our school. GCSE Results 2016

We are really pleased with the GCSE results this year.

I would like to congratulate all our students for their hard and work and commitment to achieve such good results and thank all our staff for their endless hours of support to enable this.

We are extremely proud of our students’ overall performance. This translates into an excellent set of school results with 82% of students achieving 5A*-C grades and the 5A*-C including English and Maths improving by 10% to 73%.

GCSE 2016

  • 12% gained 8 x A*/A grades
  • 23% gained 5 x A*/A grades
  • 29% gained A*/A in English grades
  • 25% gained A*/A in Maths grades
