Sixth Form - Entry Requirements
The Ridgeway School Sixth Form provides a relaxed learning environment where
individual attention, academic mentoring and positive relationships with staff,
fostering excellent student achievement for all.
There are a number of Sixth Form Pathways which are based on Ensuring
achievement for all!
Pathway 1 - Oxbridge, Redbrick Universties Pathway
Requirements - 9 GCSEs + 6 or more A*/A's + Enrichment programme
Provision - Oxbridge training, UCAS completion support
Sept 09 - Level 4 Open University modules, Baccalaureate qualification
Pathway 2 - Level 3 (4AS & 3 A2s)
Requirements - 5GCSEs at A* - B grades (B+ in each chosen subject)
Provision - UCAS completion support, Mentoring and Enrichment programme
Pathway 3 - Level 3 (3AS + 3 A2s) A Levels and Applied A-Levels
Requirements - 5 GCSEs at A*- C grades (C+ grade in chosen)
Pathway 4 - Level 3 and Level 2 Qualifications (2 A Levels)
Requirements 4 A* - C GCSEs (C+ grade in chosen subject)
Provision - Mentoring & Enrichment programme
Pathway 5 - Level 3 and Level 2 Courses ( 1 A- Level)
Requirements - 3 A* - C GCSEs (C+ grade in chosen subject)
Provision - Mentoring & Enrichment programme, Full Level 2 course provision at
Swindon College
