On Tuesday 9th February we will be having an Enrichment day.
The aim of the day is to broaden our student's horizons and inspire them to try new things and they may choose to pursue further into their half term break. The day will see all students off timetable and completing something beyond the academic lessons on the screen. The activities will include cooking and baking; life skills; careers and employability; physical activity and arts/crafts. Achievements of the day will be shared with mentors and celebrated using house points, featuring on newsletters and other rewards. Year 12 and 13 will follow a slightly different timetable for the day but all information will follow soon to outline the structure of the day for your student.
As part of the day for students in school, we are planning on doing some activities outside (weather permitting). Therefore, can you please ensure students are suitably dressed for light physical activity with correct footwear and warm enough clothes to be outside for 50 mins.
Students will need to sign in with their mentor at 8.50 as normal. From there they will be directed into their first session for the day. They can share successes and parts that interested them with their mentor throughout the day using their email. All information and resources will be sent to parents before the day and to students in the morning mentoring session.
