The GCSE results for 2020 encapsulate the excellent achievement and hard work of our students during this exceptional year.
At The Ridgeway School, we are immensely proud of our students and wish them the very best for their next steps. This has been a very challenging year for all students, and the significant disruption to education has been felt most by those who should have taken their final exams this summer.
Considering the difficulties they faced this year, we are extremely proud of how our students have performed across the full range of GCSE and Level 2 qualifications, and we are sure they will continue to do well in their next ventures.
We are disappointed that the school year ended so abruptly and prevented students from experiencing some of the key moments in their education. However, we are continually amazed by the resilience and perseverance shown by our students in very challenging circumstances. We also recognise the stress caused by the events of the past few months and thank our parents for their continued support.
As ever, there are a number of students who leave with top grades. Among these were:
Anna Takacs who achieved 10 grade 9s, Ijaz Ahmed 9 grade 9s, Isabel Faria 9 grade 9s, Amy Border 9 grade 9s, Evie Mirza 8 grade 9s & 1 grade 8, Callum Thomas 8 grade 9s & 1 grade 8, Beatrice George 7 grade 9s & 2 grade 8s, Katie Francis 5 grade 9s & 5 grade 8s, Aidan Harrison 5 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s, Alya Tonkin 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s, Laura Puleva 4 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, & 1 Distinction, Hamish Mair 3 grade 9s & 6 grade 8s , Jack Panter 3 grade 9s & 7 grade 8s, Rhys Parker 5 grade 9s & 4 grade 8s, to name but a few.
School starts again soon, and we are excited to welcome a large number of students back into The Ridgeway Sixth Form (R6).
