YEAR 7S BOOKS ‘N’ COOKIES… Year 7s “Books and Cookies” afterschool club: enjoying the sunshine, while chatting about books. This week we discussed books covers, and looked at some different ones to think about whether we would choose that book or not. Then, because we would all choose Tom Palmer’s “Armistice Runner”, we agreed that it was going to be our book of the week for next week. Then we all sat comfortably while Mrs Tonkin read the first two chapters out loud! Reading for pleasure at its finest!

CONGRATULATIONS… A huge congratulations to our GB athlete in the making. Ayla Tonkin has secured her spot in the 3rd phase of selection for the Winter Olympic biathlon team. We wish her all the best with the next stages and are very proud of her for not only representing the school but potentially our country.

CRICKET CLUB… Are you a Year 7 or Year 8 girl? Ever thought of giving cricket a go? Got nothing to do on a Wednesday evening? Well get yourself to Hooper’s Field Wanborough, 6-7pm and GET INVOLVED!! Please see poster below. We look forward to welcoming you to the cricket club.

SUMMER PROGRAMME… We would like to tell you about a summer programme that has been designed to teach young people about self-care through the use of fun activities. The programme is available for young people aged 5-11 or 11-16. Please see the poster below for more information.
